Forest Hill happily bundled up for the 10th annual Bloor-Yorkville IceFest last weekend to participate in the festivities. At the corner of Cumberland and Bellair we witnessed live ice carving demonstrations from a group of talented artists, including Forest Hill’s very own ice masterpiece!
This year’s Frozen in Time theme featured a showcase of incredible ice sculptures inspired by bringing the past back to life. At the heart of the exhibit stood ancient Egyptian-inspired sculptures from King Tut, Pharaoh, an Anubis and Egyptian Gods. These works of art were crafted from 20,000—yes you read that right 20,000 lbs of ice!
Happening just steps from our Yorkville office, we couldn’t help but get into the spirit! In order to keep festival-goers warm we were handing out Starbucks drinks on us —All you had to do was pop in to our office and say hello!
Also featuring a live dj, street performers, food and drink stands and more, Icefest made for a festive way to spend a weekend celebrating the winter. Forest Hill was thrilled to participate in Icefest 2015 and we hope everyone had as much fun as we did!
